In-floor heat

A heated slab is the best room in an Alberta shop

Ask anyone with a heated shop floor whether they would go back. SuperPex panels put insulation under the slab and hold the PEX tubing at the right height without stapling, so the radiant loop goes in quickly and stays where it belongs when the concrete is poured.

We install SuperPex under shop, garage and basement slabs, and it pairs naturally with an ICF foundation: an insulated wall and a warm floor together make a building that costs very little to keep comfortable in February.

Radiant floor systems

The SuperPex hydronic floor panel

A hydronic floor panel made of high-density expanded polystyrene for residential and commercial buildings. Unique mushroom-shaped pucks lock PEX tubing firmly in place, engineered to the perfect height, width, and shape for a premium installation experience.

The 4′×4′ panel maximizes the square footage placed at once while staying easy to handle, with interlocking shiplap edges locking panels together. Tubing is inserted by simply walking it in between the pucks; concrete is then poured to the required thickness, encasing tubing, pucks, and reinforcement in place.

  • Four interlocking shiplap edges lock panels together.
  • The precise cone-shaped puck design locks the pipe firmly in place and takes 3/8″, 1/2″ and 5/8″ PEX without stapling corners.
  • Bridges between pucks lift the tubing for better heat distribution.
  • Multi-directional placement for 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″ and 3/4″ PEX.

The SuperForm difference

Why use SuperForm insulation on your project

Stable R-Value

Provides a stable R-value that doesn’t deteriorate over time.

Compressive Strength

EPS+ available in 10–60 psi; MAX+ available in 10–30 psi.

Moisture Resistance

Closed-cell polystyrene proven to resist moisture gain, with drying potential that maintains R-value.

Cost-Effective & Low-Impact

SuperForm rates EPS+ up to 40% more cost-effective than XPS and MAX+ 10–30% less than XPS, with no ozone-depleting blowing agents.
