An insulated concrete form foundation is stacked like blocks, braced, filled with concrete and left in place as the wall’s insulation. Woodwright is an authorized SuperForm dealer and an ICF installer, which means we supply the block and we build with it, on our own projects and on yours.

What an ICF wall gives you in central Alberta

  • A basement that stays warm in January without a furnace running flat out, because the foam is continuous on both sides of the concrete
  • A wall that does not move with frost or dry out and crack the way some poured walls do in our soils
  • Quiet. Wind, traffic and the neighbour’s shop stay outside
  • A finished-ready surface: drywall fastens straight to the block’s tie flanges, no strapping or extra insulation

What we build with it

Basements and walkout foundations for new homes, ICF walls carried above grade for a full ICF house, shop and garage walls, and foundations for additions. If you already have a builder, we can supply the SuperForm materials and prepare the take-off from your plans.

How the job goes

  1. We take off the quantities from your drawings and price the materials and the install.
  2. Footings go in, block is stacked and braced, and reinforcing is placed to the engineered spec.
  3. The pour is one day. The bracing comes off once the concrete has cured, and the wall is ready for backfill, waterproofing and framing.

Estimate calculator

An online estimate calculator for SuperForm ICF projects is coming to this site. In the meantime, send us your plans and we will prepare the take-off for you. Building the foundation right is where every good house starts, and it is where Woodwright started with SuperForm.
